Rod takes top honours at Landsend

THE Wednesday open match at Landsend Fishery produced a fairly even result.

Top honours went to Rod Wooten, of Dynamite Frys MG, with a carp catch weighing 55lb 11oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. Nick Collier, of Sarfix SW, took second prize with another carp catch weighing 49lb 3oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. John Green, of Landsend, clinched third prize with a carp catch weighing 42lb 9oz, taken on pole-fished pellets.

The silver fish prize went to Barry Fitchew, of Fox Tackle, with a skimmer catch weighing 19lb 8oz.

Duckett takes the midweek honours

THE midweek open match at Landsend Fishery produced some reasonable sport with carp making up the bulk of the weights.

Top spot went to Nigel Duckett, of Landsend, with a carp catch weighing 88lb 7oz, taken on pole-fished pellets for a comfortable win.

Austin Healey, of BCFC, was second with another carp catch weighing 65lb 10oz, also taken on pole-fished pellets. John Dyte, of Landsend, was third with a carp catch weighing 49lb 10oz, taken on long pole fished pellets.
