Super Swindon Robins ground Eagles

SWINDON returned to the top of Sky Sports Elite League in emphatic fashion with a 50-40 win at Eastbourne tonight.

The Robins gained revenge for last month's nine-point defeat at Arlington Stadium with a high-quality performance on the south coast, taking over at the summit as Wolverhampton saw their match rained off.

Skipper Leigh Adams (13) and Travis McGowan (paid 13)headlined the triumph, while Matej Zagar and Ryan Fisher (both paid 12) also delivered superb displays.

LA suffers the usual curse of Swindon riders, great in the elite/british league, always the bridesmaid on the big individual occasions, never mind, we will settle for the what could be considered the best team in the last 3 seasons and this.Keep up the winning mentality.

Great win by the boys and especially after the last time we were there, which would have put many a rider off. Last time was a complete nightmare with so many crashes and incidents. Interesting to see Pavlic ride abroad over the weekend and his rides last night yeald only about 3 points I believe. Do we need a replacement soon or get the young lad sorted.I think this lad is being run by his father and is probably totally confused and its no secret that his father never wanted him to come over this season. I would go for a replacement and there are a few guys going well Seb Alden and Adrian Medsinski are flying abroad.

The Sprocket says - Great result at the Eagles. Steady still disappoints with a lack of consistency. Imagine how good we could be if he was scoring to his full potential.Rider replacement stand ins did not perform last night (except Travis) - would a good number 2/4 have done better - yes. Release Pavlic for this season but keep hold of him until he grows up a bit. Medinski would be a good bet until the end of the year as long as his home club plays the whiteman.
