Bradford Town 2nd XI 156-9 (21 Pts) beat North Bradley 120 All out (6 Pts) by 36 Runs
Bradford lost the toss and were asked to bat first in this bottom of the table clash with North Bradley and were soon struggling against the impressive bowling of Liam Brown.
Bradford lost 3 early wickets before slowly moving to 120-6 in the 33rd over thanks to some steady batting by Tony Burrows (29), Matt Harrington (23) and a quick 17 from Darren Jones with Matt Williams bowling a particularly tidy spell conceding just 16 runs from 10 overs.
When Brown and Mark Crangle were reintroduced into the attack Bradford lost 3 wickets for no runs in 5 balls to leave them on 120-9 with 10 overs left to bat, there then followed an excellent unbroken last wicket partnership of 36 between U15 Kit Chapman (13 Not out) and U17 player Khyl Harrington (17 Not out) which enabled Bradford to reach 156-9 in there 45 overs, with Liam Brown the pick of the North Bradley bowlers finishing with figures of 12-3-27-5.
The North Bradley reply never really got going as they tried to hit themselves into a winning position and wickets fell quickly against the tidy and accurate bowling of Matt Harrington (12-1-49-5) and Khyl Harrington (6-1-16-3), only some sensible batting lower down the order by Ben Howe (27) and James Taylor (21)managed to get Bradley to a respectable 120 before young Rufus Lakin took the final wicket bowling stubborn Butler for 6 in his first over.
