Mings eyes up Team Bath stars

Chippenham Town boss Adie Mings has raided Team Bath for the second time this summer in an effort to bolster his squad before the new season.

A number of new faces were present at the first day of training on Thursday including defender Luke Hall Cousins, 19, and the versatile Robert Hobbs, 20, who both represented the university side in Conference South last season.

Team Bath have withdrawn from their league after being informed they would not be allowed to progress into the Football League.

Their players have since been in high demand and Mings is keen to recruit both aces after previously signing winger Ben Thomson from Team Bath.

Shaun Lamb, who impressed in the second half of last season, also moved from the university side.

Other new faces at training included former Cardiff City striker Kyle Bassett, who impressed against Chippenham for Clevedon town last season, and Jason Wood, who spent a month on loan at Hardenhuish Park in September.

The Southern League fixtures for the 2009/10 season will be released on Wednesday.
