The Robins pened their pre-season campaign with a single goal defeat against Toolstation First Division side Bradford Town.
Manager Andy Crabtree fielded two different sides in either half and it was an own goal by Dan Harvey in the second period that saw Bradford claim the win.
Frome dominated the opening half and played some good football with new striker Mike Whittington unlucky to see a cracking strike hit the crossbar before being forced off with suspected concussion.
Frome Town also included former Wales U16 and U17 goalkeeper Josh Payne in goal and the former Stoke and Leicester City trialist was the only player to complete 90 minutes.
Frome Town First Half Team: Josh Payne, Shaun Percival, Greg Lake, Matt Cowler, Jamie Cheeseman, Leigh Burke, Alex Lapham, Matt Peters, Mark Salter, Mike Whittington (Simeon Allison `35), Joe Gomes
Frome Town Second Half Team: Josh Payne, Jack Metcalf, Paul Farrell, Stewart Bryant, Dan Harvey, Ian Kennedy, Ashley Clarke, Rafael Mocko, Simon Millard, Simeon Allison, Dean Caslake
