HELLENIC LEAGUE DIVISION ONE WEST: Bees stung by sloppy start

9:30am Friday 12th March 2010

CHRIS Carr thinks that his Trowbridge Town side showed they have the talent to match the league’s best sides after they dominated Division One West leaders Cheltenham Saracens on Saturday, but only after conceding three goals in the first 25 minutes.

Mark Hunt grabbed a brace and Stephen Hulbert also found the net but Trowbridge were beaten 4-3.

“We just didn’t turn up for the start of the match but after half an hour something just clicked,” said manager Carr.

“We were completely dominant and there was only one side playing football.

“Some people might laugh but after witnessing the football we played, I think there’s no reason that we can’t be a top side. We just need to perform to that level against teams nearer the bottom of the league.”

Paul Gittens is supended and Stephen Hulbert on Wiltshire U18 duty when Trowbridge host Letcombe tomorrow.
