WESTBURY got back to winning ways with a deserved victory.
The first half was a loose affair with neither team able to impose themselves, but Oakmedians were first on the scoreboard after creating an overlap for their outside centre to get over in the corner.
Westbury started to apply pressure on defence and went close a couple of times.
Finally the pressure told with Oaks conceding a penalty which fly-half Chris Vaughn converted before half time.
Westbury, started to impose themselves after the break, using their rolling maul and pick and drive to move up the pitch.
This was rewarded with a second penalty by Vaughn to put Westbury in the lead 6-5.
Westbury went further ahead after a powerful run from winger Joseph Harrison took them to within five metres with centre Matt Doughty going for the try, converted by Vaughn.
With the last play of the game, Oaks managed to cross the line for their second try the conversion bringing the scores to within a point.
l Westbury 2nd were denied the chance to go for a sixth win in a row when the referee failed to turn up for their away fixture against Marlborough 2nd.
