HELLENIC LEAGUE DIVISION ONE WEST: Homesick Trowbridge return home

9:10am Friday 19th March 2010

CHRIS Carr is desperate to find a cure for his side’s homesickness ahead of three successive matches at Woodmarsh.

Carr missed his side’s battling point at their Wiltshire neighbours, but admits he is baffled at how they put in such a solid performance on their travels after being turned over 4-2 at home by Letcombe on Saturday.

In nine matches on their own turf this season, Trowbridge have lost six times but with Tytherington Rocks in town tomorrow, Carr wants to remedy that form.

“It’s difficult to put a finger on because I honestly think we can be one of the top sides in this division,’’ said the manager, who will be back on the bench for Saturday’s match.

“The lads don’t seem to like playing at home and most of our best performances have been away this season.

“But they need to get used to it because we’ve got three home games coming up and we don’t want to finish third from bottom at the end of the season.’’ Carr’s assistant Dan Barnes and Dan Crease netted in the draw at Bassett.

Frontman Jamie Dennison should be available for the Tytherington visit, while Ross Pike may also make another appearance.
