ANGLING: Hillier hangs on to win (From This Is Wiltshire)

DERRICK Hillier hung on to take top spot in the Roaming Rods match at Harescombe Fishery by 12 ounces.

Hillier’s 72lb 8oz haul saw off second-placed Pete Saunders, who landed 71lb 12oz.

Dave Watkins was the big winner at Peatmoor’s OAP match, taking top spot with a 39lb 80z haul from John Poynter.

In the Dads and Lads match, grandfather and grandson pairing Mick Rosier and Nick Manolis took the spoils with a bag of 20lb 11oz.
