Kildemand finding his form

This Is Wiltshire: Peter Kildemand Peter Kildemand

DANE Peter Kildemand believes he is beginning to return to his best just in time for the Elite League play-offs.

The youngster started the season in blistering form, which quickly saw him move up from reserve into the main body of the Robins team after some big points scores.

The 23-year-old quickly found his feet amongst the Elite League’s top performers, but bike problems soon stunted his progress as he struggled to reach the high standards he set himself at the beginning of his Swindon career.

But Kildemand is over his technical issues now, and is hoping to see his results continue to improve going into tonight’s meeting with Lakeside.

“I have been struggling a little bit with engines recently but it all seems to be okay now, and that is good,” he said.

“It is very frustrating when you have problems with your bikes, but it is good to get it sorted.

“All of my equipment is pretty good and pretty new, so it is all bad luck really, but I am glad it seems to be over.

“I have started riding well again recently and I am trapping well, so it is all good.

“I am starting to get thing right now, and it is a good time to do it because the play-offs are coming up soon, which is the best time.”

Robins boss Alun Rossiter has consistently used the Dane in heat 15 in recent weeks, and Kildemand is happy to have been given the extra responsibility.

“I have been getting into some heat 15s in the last few meetings and that is good, because I know I can do it and it is good that people have confidence in me,” he said.

“I am happy about because I like to be given the chances, and I hope I can carry on doing well.”
