RUGBY: Swindon College Old Boys 2nd 13 Sutton Benger 13
10:30am Wednesday 19th September 2012 in Latest Sport News
A TRY from stand-in winger Nick Bolter and Jason Blackmore’s conversion earned Benger a draw from their first Dorset & Wilts Two North away trip of the campaign.
The set piece was dominated by College’s impressive pack but when Benger did have any ball they opened up their opponents’ backline almost at will, handling errors costing them scoring chances.
Old Boys crossed for tries either side of half time and while Benger added a penalty of their own a further Swindon penalty made it 13-6 heading into the dying moments.
As the ball was spun wide again, Bolter chipped his man and beat him to the bouncing ball to touch down.
Blackmore, the match winner the previous week, kept his nerve again and slotted the conversion from out wide.
