TOOLSTATION LEAGUE FIRST DIVISION: Shrewton United 0 Calne Town 1

CALNE Town shot up to second in the Toolstation League First Division after recording their third straight league win with victory over Shrewton United last night.

Jeff Roberts and Drew Youngsam's side took the lead just five minutes in when Rob Pocock crossed to the far post for Tyler Sheppard to head home.

Sheppard went close again in the first half while Greg Tindle also had an effort parried away before the Lilywhites were reduced to ten men in the 71st minute when goalkeeper Steve Allison picked up a straight red after he was adjudged to have handled the ball outside his area.

But Calne held firm to move three points behind league leaders Shepton Mallet.

Roberts and Youngsam's men host fifth-placed Chard Town this weekend.
