RUGBY: Frome 17 Corsham 5
5:30pm Tuesday 9th October 2012 in Latest Sport News
CORSHAM were guilty of complacency as they fell to their first Southern Counties South defeat of the season.
The visitors started brightly with a drop goal attempt fading wide from Andy Williamson.
A missed penalty from Dan Goldsworthy followed and Corsham’s indiscipline became a pattern during the match, handing Frome the penalty from which full-back Sam McQueen gave them the lead.
The visitors replied with a well-worked try for lock John Murzyn, but took their foot off the pedal to leak a try to McQueen in the final phase of the half to trail 12-5.
Corsham launched several attacks in the second half, but a lack of composure prevented a comeback and they conceded their final try from a mistake in their own 22, Ross Toten touching down for the hosts.
