SWINDON Asians carried on from where they left off last season in the Indoor Cricket League by winning a close encounter with Nalgo.

Having scored 87 all out thanks to 35 from Jag Chahal and 25 from S. Khan, they restricted Nalgo to 76 all out with 42 from Das Rafiq and an amazing 24 wides.

Shrivenham were convincing winners over league newcomers Wootton Bassett. Shrivenham amassed 134-2 as Adam Tucker top-scored with 37 not out.

Bassett could only manage 27-6 in reply thanks to some miserly bowling from Tucker, who amazingly bowled two overs for no runs.

In Division Two, Lechlade started with a comfortable victory over Wroughton, and Blunsdon 2nds eased home against Nalgo 2nds, for whom Y. Irshad scored 54.

SBC Capita maintained their unbeaten start in Division Three, comfortably beating Minety by 66 runs. Blunsdon 2nds defeated newly-promoted Woodlands by 30 runs.

Coastal Cobras 2nds reached the highest total of the day, scoring 136-3 in Division Four and Shrivenham 2nds only got 103-4 in reply.

Ramsbury made it two from two, comfortably beating SBC Capita B despite being one player short.

R. Gilligan was the man of the day for Ramsbury, scoring 45 not out as well as taking 2-14.
