Robins' final postponed again

This Is Wiltshire: A wet Wimborne Road A wet Wimborne Road

THE second leg of the Elite League grand final has been postponed again due to heavy rain at Wimborne Road.

Despite the presence of track covers during the day the Poole track is littered with puddles, leaving no option but for the meeting to be called off for the second time in a week.

The two sides will try again on Monday night.

Robins boss Alun Rossiter believes the right decision was made.

“I think it was probably the right decision to call it, but there really was not an awful lot we could do because the weather has beaten us again,” he said.

“It is frustrating and I know the fans are frustrated, because we all just want to get it on and decide a winner.

So much for the covers then are they from Poland as they seem unable to stop rain penetration just like the Polish football authorities. On to Monday then at this rate Pawlicki will be fit.

Just seen Sky sports would you believe it the covers have been off all day so what a farce they never even used them today. Poole should pay the cost of the fans that have traveled it is just a complete joke.

Blimey after the week we have had with weather effecting sport like as in Poland who have a fantastic stadium with a roof and declined to use the roof for the England football game and now this farce with Poole supposedly covering the track with covers only for Sky Sports announcing that the covers had in fact been OFF ALL DAY what is going on. Is there some agenda by Poole to avoid playing the second leg to get other riders back in the side IE Pawlicki. When Sky came on at 7.30 tonight it had stopped raining so if the covers had been on it would certainly had gone ahead. Seems to me Poole took them off on purpose to get the match postponed and if Pawlicki is back on Monday then it will make a mockery of the sport.
