Harris in for grounded Iversen

POOLE Pirates have given a late call-up to Coventry captain Chris Harris for tonight’s Elite League grand final second leg.

The Wimborne Road side had enlisted the services of Niels Kristian Iversen after Darcy Ward was ruled out with head injuries suffered in an attack in the early hours of Saturday morning, but the Dane has been unable to fly out of Poland due to fog in Wroclaw.

The Robins looked to have gained an advantage after news of Iversen’s troubles broke due to the fact no suitable guests were available, but Coventry’s scheduled clash at Belle Vue was rained off earlier today, meaning Harris could come to the Pirates’ rescue.
