SALISBURY City would like to thank all supporters who queued this morning for tickets for next week's FA Cup tie with Nottingham Forest for their patience as it attempted to cope with the huge demand.

Queues formed from as early as 5am and within two hours of the ticket office opening at 10.25am, the club had sold more than 1,000 tickets.

Just under 1,200 were sold in total today.

Those supporters who still have vouchers from the Enfield game can purchase their tickets from the office between 9.30am and 5pm tomorrow.

Any remaining tickets will then go on general sale from Tuesday morning.

All supporters purchasing tickets must have ID on them confirming they are a Salisbury resident.

As well as selling tickets for the Forest tie, which is to be televised on BBC1's Match Of The Day next Sunday (kick off 1.10pm), the club shop reported brisk business with FA Cup t-shirts (£6) and special City-Forest souvenir scarves (£7) proving popular.
