Assad looks for more support

AMBITIOUS Trowbridge captain Assad Fudadin wants more support from his
fellow batsmen after his virtuoso performance sealed a win at Knowle.
The Guyanese hit 104 to ensure his team reached the Knowle target of 173 to
win by four wickets.
Fudadin harbours ambitions of a promotion to Premier One and knows his team
need to be better with the bat than they were at the weekend.
But Fudadin says he is not judging anyone just yet as his team have played
only one game.
Fudadin said: "It was a good match for me but I'm hoping to get a bit more
support from my batters.
"I'd really like people to take responsibility, but it's the first game so
maybe they are a bit rusty.
"Two of our guys got run out which isn't something any captain wouldn't want
to happen.
"This is my third year now with Trowbridge and it would be my incentive to
get up into Premier One.
"I really want us to try and win every game to go up, that's my goal."
Fudadin said his side were comfortable winners but he saw some aspects they
could improve on.
Fudadin said: "Any side would be happy chasing 173 on a good pitch, and in
the end it was easy. The pitch had a little bit of juice in it and it was a
good toss to win.
"We started off really well in our bowling but we let them off a little bit
in the latter part. They were six down and their number six and seven put on
a 100 partnership.
"We didn't have the killer instinct to finish them off, we were a bit loose
and maybe the guys took it for granted.
"They fought back well but in the end it was a comfortable win."
