ANGLING: Carp at Withy Pool at Bathampton AA's Hunstrete Fishery have always been more responsive to surface baits, providing marvellous and exciting sport for club members.
Regular visitor Paul Adams had a memorable day on the lake when, fishing with floating dog biscuit he landed more than 50 carp into double figures. This was hectic sport but typical of what is happening at Withy.
On adjoining Hunstrete Lake club member Colin Hunt took a fine 17lb mirror and another angler had two lovely fish the first a stunning 23lb mirror and then a magnificent tench weighing 8lb 8oz.
