GOLF: DAVID Howell has slipped another place to 14th in the world rankings after missing the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

He has also slipped to third in the Order of Merit race, Ireland's Padraig Harrington moving up to second behind leader Paul Casey after winning the Dunhill Links.

Howell has one final chance to win the Order of Merit, at the Volvo Masters at the end of this month.

In the meantime, the Broome Manor ace is in Las Vegas for the Frys.com Open this week, having played 13 of the 15 events he needs to retain his PGA Tour card in America.
