When did you first take an interest in cooking, and when did you decide you wanted to become a chef?
From my earliest memories I have always been interested in food and I wanted to become a chef from around the age of seven.
Where did you do your training?
A mixture of back home in Namibia and in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
How would you describe the style of food served in your restaurant?
Classic great British pub food, mixed with a variety of international dishes.
Do you have a signature dish? If so, what?
From our menu here at the Goddards its the Chipotle Chicken and Ribs – it’s a very nice dish.
What would you order from your own menu?
As before, our Chipotle Chicken and Ribs. Also our burgers are amazing.
Your favourite vegetable, and why?
I like them all but spinach in parcticular, because of its taste, its colour and it’s very healthy. It’s a great ingredient in many dishes.
And favourite dessert?
Chocolate Fudge Cake, of course!
Do you cook a lot at home? What sort of food?
I don’t cook a lot at home due to being so busy at work but I love to experiment with different herbs and spices.
Where else locally do you like to eat?
I really enjoy my visits to The Curry Garden in Victoria Road.
Why should people come to the Goddard Arms?
Great food and drinks, friendly service and an excellent atmosphere to be enjoyed by all.
