STARS of Strictly Come Dancing are heading for Swindon with a mission to get the town on its feet.

Former EastEnders actress Kara Tointon, who won the BBC’s Dance Competition in 2010, will appear with fellow luminaries Artem Chigvintsev, Kristina Rhiannoff and Robin Windsor alongside the Strictly band at the Oasis tomorrow.

The Swindon date is part of a 23-stop live tour called Dance to the Music, which has been organised by Strictly Presents, an umbrella organisation for a range of Strictly-related events.

Fans are promised a lively journey through dances ranging from an American Smooth to a Viennese Waltz, with some surprises along the way.

A show spokesman said: “Dance To The Music will blend the talents of the Strictly band and its vocalists with a showcase of the most spectacular dance routines performed by Kara Tointon and three of Strictly’s professional dancers.

“The tour will mark the first time that the entire 15-piece Strictly Come Dancing band, led by musical director Dave Arch, have performed together live away from the Strictly studio.

Tickets for the Swindon event are priced at £45, £35, £28.50 and £19.50 and are subject to a £2.50 booking fee.
