Jahmene shows he has the X Factor

LOCAL singer Jahmene Douglas blew the judges away last night on the X Factor, as the former Swindon’s Got Talent winner took to the stage.

The shy 21-year-old supermarket worker had the judges on their feet with his performance of the Etta James track At Last.

Since his performance social network sites, Twitter and Facebook, have been inundated with rave reviews about his performance.

On the show judge Louis Walsh, claimed that Jahmene, was a contestant he wanted to mentor and said: “You know what, you are a revelation.

“To me you have got the c factor this is what we are looking for. I think a star has been born.”

The 21-year-old also got praise from former Take That singer Gary Barlow, who said the former New College student was the best singer he had ever heard, and Nicole Sherzinger told him: “I wanna eat you up.”

Tulisa also gave praise to the 21-year-old, she said: “You have not just the x factor not just raw talent but the shock factor.

“When you stepped on the stage you were this timid little soul and you couldn't actually express yourself, but do you know when you started expressing yourself, the minute you started singing.

“And it is blinking amazing.”

Speaking on the show Jahmene said: “It’s a completely different world from Asda.

“I've always dreamt of being here, everyone has their thing my thing is singing.

“People who know me know that I am the biggest worrier, I get so nervous.”

Jahmene will now be heading to boot camp as a firm favourite to make it into the live finals.

He posted on Twitter last night: “Wow!! This support is overwhelming. God Bless you all! Thank you! Remember to grab your dreams and make them reality. Much love.”

I am not a fan of X factor but after hearing a couple of the girls at work talking about this performance and then reading this story I did have to watch the performance on you tube.
FANTASTIC, What a great voice, I would pay to see this young man sing live.

Came across as a genuine, nice guy. Who could have guessed the excellent vocal he produced. I'm not an X Factor fan, but I'll be supporting Jahmene.

Sad that the media are contacting ASDA non stop trying to dish the dirt on him. even more sad that scandals sell more newspapers than success stories but that is the the society we seem to have built for ourselves. I dont watch that sort of programme myself but good luck to him if that is what he wants to do.
