Drivers are being fined for driving a few yards the wrong way down a street in Old Town when others are being let off for far worse things.
I watched policemen waiting to catch drivers near the Beehive but there are cars nearby breaking other rules.
My friend had to push her pushchair almost into the middle a main road in Old Town two weeks ago because of a car parked in a side street on double yellow lines and sticking out.
If this was not wrong enough, its tax was three months out of date but when she tried to call the wardens to tell them about it she got nowhere. It has been there every day since and not got a single ticket.
Perhaps the owner of that car has connections and some people are more equal than others.
