I DO have a problem with the way the New College Team are gathering the evidence for demand required by the Department of Education for their proposed new school.
On the Team’s Facebook page, parents of Year 3 and 4 children are being asked to show their support for the school by filling in the form on their website.
However, in doing this, the parents are not merely showing support for the school but they are demonstrating a firm commitment to send their child to the school as they need to tick a check box to say they will make the new school their first choice.
It seems outrageous to me to make parents commit to sending their child to a school that is not even built yet.
