THE totally out of proportion response to Hamas in Gaza by Israel continues unabated, with the slaughter of more than 1,000 Palestinian civilians.

The response from Israel over Hamas having fired rockets into their country has been totally disproportionate, as the majority of these self-built missiles have not hit populated areas, and are surely a minimal response to the continual building of illegal Israeli settlements in the Gaza strip that has always been part of Palestine, along with the bulldozing of Palestinian homes and the continued sanctions blockade of essential supplies.

Meanwhile, US secretary of state John Kerry makes insincere blustering noises half condemning the slaughter by Israel whilst at the same time America’s corporate arms suppliers continue to supply Israel whatever it wants by way of weaponry, so many more Palestinians civilians in Gaza can be slaughtered.

History just continues to repeat itself as far as the unqualified support for Israel from the USA is concerned, but this time it would appear that the world is starting to see through the outrageous slaughter with patience from the international community with Israel rapidly running out.

Why is the USA still pouring arms into Israel so they can be used to slaughter innocent Palestinian people? Why is the head of the UN Ban ki Moon not making more of an issue over it? Could it quite possibly be that the UN is nothing other than an organisation that primarily one-sidedly serves the interests of the USA and western nations aligned to NATO? After all, the headquarters of the UN are in New York, which is surely more than coincidental.

The unquestionable supply of arms and equipment to Israel by the USA’s corporate arms manufacturers has undoubtedly been one of the chief reasons why peace in the area has never been achievable, and if the UN seems incapable of bringing America to task over it then surely the rest of the world should impose sanctions on American goods and services until they cease this vile trade.

Additional pressure on America may also be necessary, such as nations withdrawing the right for them to have bases stationed on their soil. Currently I believe the USA has five major bases on UK soil with the closest being Fairford, and I believe people should be demanding they have the right to these bases withdrawn until they stop their supply of arms to Israel.

Then, and only then, we may see some lessening of the pitiful media images showing the slaughter by Israel of innocent men, woman and children in the Gaza strip.
