A WHILE ago Mr Cameron, the Prime Minister, said that the government wanted to get everyone back into work, he was going to make work for everyone.

But as well as some production companies now being sent abroad, our own tax offices have now been closed all over England. This has been kept very quiet, not many people knew this was happening.

Many thousands of tax employees are now redundant from the end of July, you can no longer go to an office to sort out your tax problems or payments, it has to be done over the telephone, where you pay for the call and wait for half an hour or more in a queue to speak to someone.

We all know that all kind of taxes are needed to help run the country but it’s an odd way of trying to save money and jobs by putting many thousands of people out of work, and paying thousands, probably millions of pounds in redundancy money.

Perhaps one of our local MPs would like to make some comments about these closures in their Adver columns.
