Re ‘Bigotry is repulsive’ (SA August 1) from Sue Hammond. She states: ‘You criticise Helen and you presume she has not ‘studied the scriptures.’ I never said that. I said: ‘I would have thought at least studied part of scripture to have rejected it?’ If you cannot read a simple letter of mine in the Adver properly, what hope is there of you reading the Bible properly?

Her comment: Are you in that little club, Mr Nibbs,’ is spitefully un-Christian, and she has the gall to accuse me of writing vitriolic replies. She continues: ‘When you check these quotes you’ll need to look at various Bibles and in the original Greek and Latin.’ Greek and Latin? The Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and NT Greek. This leads me to believe, Sue Hammond, that you are not a Christian, but posing as one to entrap and humiliate me.

My original letters dealt with homosexual propaganda. It seems one quickly becomes a hypocrite/bigot for daring to question such. This stems from the Gay Liberation Front, whose manifesto declares, ‘We must aim at the abolition of the family.’ All who back gay ‘marriage’ are guilty of aiding them.

Finally, to settle this matter once and for all let me ask Sue Hammond a few questions: a) If Christ were physically here today would he attend a same-sex marriage?

b) Would he condone or condemn homosexual practices?

This is the ultimate test to see if you really are a Christian according to scripture and to prove me wrong.
