Congratulations Alec Salmond. You might not have won the Independence vote but you most certainly have won the right to continue offering your countrymen the best NHS service, which is the envy of the rest of us in the UK .
Not a single paper has dared tell us of just how good your Service Scotland really have.
And how has this been achieved?
Simply by using the power invested in Scotland by evolution, which enabled them to resist private providers, having no Foundation Trusts, no PFI hospitals, and none of the extra bureaucracy and regulations needed to manage the market. All of this has enabled them to offer an excellent free NHS in personal care, prescriptions, dental care and eye tests.
On top of that Scotland has more GPs, medical hospital staff, nursing, midwifery and health visiting staff per person, and all this comes at the time when both the Nuffield Trust and NHS England have calculated that by 2021, the shortfall in NHS funding will be £28-30bn. So who are we all voting for in the next general election? My guess will be the Monster Loony Party.
