I refer to recent letters by Des Morgan who we have to thank for highlighting the Wi-Fi fiasco which continues to rumble on and will have an indirect impact to the services of our town for many years to come.

£400k is a vast sum of money which could have been used more appropriately. It is possible that the intended closures of the pre-school centres which has received much publicity recently could have been avoided and surely we should be investing in our children’s futures, not a project that was developed by large corporate companies anyway.

The waste of money which we will never see refunded is down to the present administration, as surely the project should never have been proceeded with. Interestingly, I see today’s Advertiser reports that the new McDonalds at Bridgemead intends to have Wi-Fi available for their customers. It can not be rocket science to do this, so what went so wrong?
