I really think it is high time you stopped encouraging the same people who regularly use your column to insult other writers who wish to freely express their opinions on illegal immigrants, religion, the EU, etc.

I have no gripe with them expressing their own views so long as they keep their opinions to themselves without personally naming and condemning other writers who do not share their one sided opinions.

Economics is not a science and therefore every opinion has a pro and a con and never will the two ever meet! Stating facts is another matter altogether, although even that is usually twisted to suit the other sides argument. e.g. using opinion polls to try to prove a subject matter.
