Kevin Small (SA, Jan 20) tried to persuade us that all those who want controlled immigration are little a bit weird.

Correspondingly all the people who want open borders and mass immigration are normal.

Around the world the norm is for countries to control their own borders. It is only within the EU that there is complete free movement of peoples across national boundaries.

It is like when someone knocks on your front door. After you open the door you then have to decide who you want to come in, and those that you wish to keep out.

Therefore it is perfectly normal for the voters of Britain to want controlled immigration.
