As the winter slowly but surely recedes from our island due to our planet’s natural cycle, I have always believed in the exact science of mathematics, although my heart and soul lie in God’s outdoor beauty.
Regarding nature and the elements, I had a thought last week.
My little Westie is approaching his seventh birthday this April. I walk him without fail, hail, rain or snow, two hours a day around Covingham.
They estimate that one hour’s walking is around three miles, which adds up to 42 miles a week, 2,184 miles a year.
Let’s say for argument’s sake, I have been doing this for six years, as he was a puppy when I bought him, six times 2,184 is 13,104 miles. I have walked my dog to Australia in mileage, impossible due to our great oceans, but just a thought to all dog lovers.
