In recent days, I have seen on the news as I’m sure many people have, the coverage about the three girls who left this beautiful realm that I for one am proud to call the greatest country in the world and voluntarily travelled to Syria via Turkey with the intention of becoming brides of Islamic state terrorists.

On arrival they have then, so it seems, set about broadcasting via social media, all kinds of hatred against this country and advice for others who may want to join them on how to go about it.

I see their poor distraught families crying on TV and for them I genuinely am very sorry.

But I carry no such sentiment for these young ladies.

If they so desperately want to go and join this group and turn their backs on a country that educated them and nursed them through childhood so they can then go off to join and marry men responsible for some of these hideous atrocities IS have carried out, including the beheading of humanitarian charity workers, then let’s let them go.

I’m sure I don’t speak alone when I say the majority of UK citizens from all faiths don’t want them here if that’s the dreadful people they support, and under no circumstances do I, now they have shown the extent of their support for these extremists and hatred for this country, want them to return here.

I would like to know what other readers think about this.
