Unfortunately it is people like Bill Collins (Letters, February 3) who make our world a much sadder place to live. He says: “Muslims have got a lot to answer for”, and “any bad press they get is of their own making”. What a blinkered and narrow-minded view he appears to hold. In 2014 it was said that over 2.08 billion, or 28.26 per cent, of the world’s population were Muslims. I wonder how many of these individuals he thinks support the minority, violent fanatics who have hijacked this religion? People like him can’t see past the headlines to consider the individual rather than labelling a group of people. I think it is very dangerous for the Advertiser to print such propaganda and I do hope educated and sensible people will continue to speak out against such foolishness.
