While all the major parties are extremely keen to get foreign investment into Britain they have not considered how this might affect our balance of payments long term.

Our Westminster MPs seem to have forgotten that foreign investors will want dividends and profits on the money they have invested.

Every time we pay dividends it is money going out of the country. In the long term investors will hope to get more out than they have put in. There is a limit to how much money Britain can afford to pay in dividends going out the country.

Foreign investment into Britain is a short term profit and a long term problem.
