Roger Lack wrote a letter on 24 February entitled “There is no God”. Mr Lack correctly pointed out the vicious murder of three young Muslims in North Carolina in February. I am sorry to disappoint him. The killer was an atheist according to the police, who hated Muslims and Islam.
Humans are given free will, yet we are told the right from wrong.
We are here for decades and whatever we do in this world will determine where we will go in the after life. Proof of the existence of God: the universe was designed.
We Muslims say Allah (=God) has created the universe, human beings, nature, animals and so on.
There is no God, but Allah is the first declaration of the Islamic pillars. Have you ever asked yourself: where do we come from? What is the purpose of our lives?
Where are we going? Is life all about getting education, accumulating money, having a career, chilling with friends and going on holiday, get married and settle, and have children and grow old?
Surely, life is more than these things.
Muslim intellectuals have been using the Kalam Cosmological Argument to prove the existence of Allah scientifically and philosophically since the 1100s.
To sum up, there are signs, including our bodies, which are indicating the existence of Allah. I suggest Mr Lack pick up the Holy Quran and read it without preconceived ideas. He will find the answers he’s looking for, as I did many years ago.
