THE Liberal Democrats are the party that claim to have the strongest support for Britain’s continued membership of the European Union.
The three central tenets of the EU are the free movement of people, goods and capital.
As the Lib Dems lost almost 90 per cent of their MPs during the recent General Election, can we assume the free movement of people is not supported by the average British voter?
David Cameron has promised a referendum in 2017 and it will be interesting to know whether the Lib Dems will still be supporting the free movement of people by the time we get to the forthcoming EU referendum.
