I DON’T know enough about fracking to say if it’s safe or not, I have my doubts if it is and it’s not something that I would want on my doorstep, even if it did reduce my fuel bill.
Now it seems that the Government is planning to fast track fracking, and allow their friends in big business to carry out test drilling without any local consultation with residents.
They are also planning to remove the need for the Environment Agency to carry out a full environmental audit.
The Conservatives know only too well the level of opposition to fracking which is clearly why they intend to bypass local consultation with residents who would be affected by any drilling.
So much for democracy.
