IN YOUR Swindon Advertiser comment of June 22, where you were (rightly) praising the head and deputy of Moredon Primary school for their caring professionalism, you began by talking of ‘teachers who treat the job as just that: a means to a salary and generous holiday entitlement.’ I retired 15 years ago after 35 years as a primary school teacher and finally head, and I can honestly say I never met any who fitted your description.
Of course, I admit some of us were less good than others, but surely that is true in any occupation, including writing for newspapers.
