IN STEVE Thompson’s recent letter he accuses me of "name calling" and insults he describes the word nimbys quite correctly as "opposing developments near their home" (not in my back yard).

Far from being insulted Steve, I am very proud.

Along with many hundreds of others, I have marched and demonstrated and spoken out against developments which would see many acres of countryside being turned into landfill sites, protected green belt sites being turned into vast housing estates to house the ever-increasing population of our saturated country, caused by immigration.

I am proud to be called a nimby for standing up to support my countryside.

As far as his comments regarding my letter on human rights and terrorism, I have never read or do not intend to read the Daily Mail, so I am not influenced by his insinuation that my opinions are based on scare stories.

Take off your rose coloured glasses Steve and wake up to the real world. Go to Speakers’ Corner in London and listen to the religious speakers, many of whom have been convicted in their own country of hideous and horrendous atrocities committed in the name of religion.

Steve quotes my comments on ZZ and states that as he has had no contact with Islamists since 1990 he is no longer a threat.

He refers to this as a scare story which proved to be nonsense when investigated.

Well I suppose the fact that he was a member of Abu Qatada’s terror cell and was a serious threat, being able to obtain weapons and banned from Britain for a decade, failing to return and using false passports was a made-up scare story.

He is allowed back in Britain because he has a right to family life.

Listen to the terrorists who are allowed to incite others to make bombs, blow up innocent women and children, call suicide bombers heroes and demand their own laws etc.

I stand by my opinion that anyone who preaches terrorism and invites others to kill, or is a convicted murderer, rapist or people trafficker has forfeited any human rights.

What about the innocent victims and those who have lost loved ones in acts of terrorism by these so-say religious heroes who are praised because the Human Rights Act allows it?
