RE: Thanks be to God from Jane Le Coyte of 6 July. She writes: ‘I am surprised by the detailed knowledge that J Adams professes to have about homosexuals and their practices. This is clearly a deep and enduring interest.’ She gave exactly the same venomous response verbatim to two other letters of mine on a similar theme a few years ago and it’s starting to wear thin. In one of the letters during that period she accused me of being a homophobic bigot and in this latest one, cowardly hints of being a covert homosexual.

Which one am I, Jane? The Christian church-attending, homophobic bigot or that nice gay man lusting after passing unwary schoolboys? Advise me. You are not having it both ways.

It is sobering to know that when you slander someone, (according to scripture) you are doing the work of the devil. Mrs Le Coyte remains incapable of tackling the original argument so she attacks me instead.

As the proverb goes: ‘When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.’ (Socrates).

She pursues her usual line of attack: divert the issue and distract from the true topic of discussion: why homosexuals depart main line churches.

I respond to the Adver to any untruths by unbelievers or those with malicious intent, regarding any part of the Bible as she knows perfectly well, as well as other Bible related subjects.

“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad for your reward in Heaven is great.” (Matthew 5:11-12).
