Mobility scooter rules
VERY little, if any, information is given when purchasing a mobility scooter but they are covered by The Highway Code, Rules 36 - 46.
This can be found at www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/ Highwaycode/index.htm It is advisable to take insurance cover in the event of an accident but transporting a passenger (child) is liable to invalidate the insurance.
