OH HOW I agree with Steve Halden in Tuesday’s Adver (letters, August 4).

Jeremy Corbyn is in many ways the same as other Labour leaders.

They seem to think there is a bottomless pit from which money can be dug out to suit whatever the Labour Party wants to do.

News for them! There is no money pit and at the end of the day everything has to be paid for.

NHS.

Education.

Pensions.

The Military, God bless `em.

Build a successful economy and manufacture things that other nations want to buy and you are already halfway there.

Design and build and manufacture well thought out, successful products and we all benefit.

It’s not rocket science, it’s simple facts.

If you are a successful country, you can afford better doctors, teachers, nurses and police.

But if we keep on listening to all the little tin pot union leaders, we will never become successful again.

When you walk out the door on strike you are never going to make up the money you are losing.

You never, or almost never, strike over money.

Principles? Yes.

But do union leaders lose money when the workers go on strike?

If you believe that then I guess you still believe in Santa Claus or, like so many in the Labour Party, you are still living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Striking is now being used as a political weapon and the Labour Party goes along with it, do they ever denounce it?

Wake up and join the 21st Century.
