THE commonest complaint about British politics is that the parties are all the same.
In relation to the free movement of people across EU borders it is true that the three major parties all support the principle of free movement. Democracy only works properly when there is both a strong government and a strong opposition.
At the present time there is no opposition in the House of Commons to the principle of free movement of people across international borders within the EU.
