RE: 'Show compassion', (Advertiser, Saturday, August 27), from Martin Webb.

RE: SHOW Compassion, Saturday, August 27, Martin Webb. ( Adver 27/8/15. Martin Webb).

Perhaps Martin Webb has already set an example to us all (instead of constantly mouthing his usual platitudes about the suffering of migrants and accusing the rest of us of a lack of compassion) and is secretly housing a couple or more of refugees inside his house?

So they’ll be no strain on the public purse, no doubt he is paying their way for them, and shall be for the next 10 years?

If he is so concerned why has he not done this? Perhaps the Advertiser could then do an article, replete with ‘photos on the man demonstrating to us all what a shining saint he is?' This is not an unrealistic request, so why, Martin Webb, have you not already done this?

I strongly suspect Martin Webb would not be satisfied until every field, garden, green space, allotment, park, school playground, grass roadside, valley, (have I missed anything?!), cemetery plot, children’s park and forest was removed and concreted and has a tower block sticking out of them to house immigrants, every mountain flattened, every pond, lake, canal, river infilled!

Even Bill Williams’ beloved, selfless monarch has done her usual nothing regarding the current situation, so get on with it Mr Webb!

Inspire us. Someone has to!

Even then he would still not be satisfied until every hospital, GP surgery, clinic, prison, courtroom, walk-in centre, women’s clinic, woman’s refuge and hospice, was jammed to overflowing, with the nearest appointments years ahead.
