DAVID Cameron has just appointed 45 new peers to the House of Lords.

Lord Norton and Baroness Deech say that the enlarged Lords of 826 members is far too big to do its job properly.

They suggest that the Lords should be reduced to 600, because there are only seats for 400 people.

There is a complaint of cronyism because most of the new Lords were either connected to the Conservative party or were MPs that lost their seats in the recent General Election.

This is a time of great austerity and many essential services are being cut to the bone. People often say about the Conservatives that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
