WHAT is this world coming to with so many scams taking place?

My latest experience gives me cause for concern.

I purchased a couple of pairs of jeans when I had a closer look I noticed they had holes and rips in them, especially in the knee area.

I immediately took them back for replacement! The customer service assistant said: “You must have taken them from the wrong pile”.

“But they are ripped” I replied.

Assistant: “They are supposed to be like that.”

Me: “Can I point out, if you look closely, they are actually not finished off properly.”

Assistant: “With respect Sir, they are made that way.”

Me: “I know that they are made that way as the ‘fault’ is blatantly obvious to me, due to the error in manufacture of the product.”

Assistant: “Sir, that is the style of today, it is the fashion.”

Me: “But if I wear those, people can see whether I have washed my knees or not and the cold will affect my joints and other regions.”

Assistant: “Would you like to choose some more Sir?”

Me: “No thank you, two pairs with holes in is enough for me, I think a refund would be better.”

I did accept a refund but imagine anyone older than me and a little gullible being fobbed off with the idea that they were made that way; that is the fashion.

You can’t be too careful these days, so please Adver readers, look closely at what you buy and don’t get fobbed off!!

Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous?
