I WAS fascinated by a comment from a correspondent of November 9 referring to a previous letter of mine, in which I stated the uselessness of wind turbines.

I meant they were useless because their current raison d’etre is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, these being the cause of global warming.

I do not believe in the current belief system which two Governments have done so much to promote.

There is much we do not understand about the mechanisms of our planet.

We do know that in its history there have been periods of heavy glaciation between warmer periods.

It is doubtful that mankind or our evolutionary ancestors played any part in these periodic fluctuations of our planet.
