YES, we are here again to honour all our boys who gave their all.

But it shouldn’t just be on this date. We should always think of them wherever we are.

I think it’s something in the British psyche. We always honour them and show respect.

It does make you wonder at times when we look around at the state of the world today – what did all these brave men and women suffer for?

The answer is easy: for our freedom. Freedom to do what we want within reason. Freedom to make choices, to voice opinions, to help others and to love others also.

It’s probably no coincidence that our Prime Minister is making his application for changes to the EU rules and regulations to defend our freedom once more. The freedom to be British and proud of it.

One only has to look at our neighbours in Europe to see how much the sacrifice our boys and girls made twice in the last century to keep quite a lot of these countries free.

But will they support David Cameron? What do you think?

More importantly, what do they, the people of these countries, think when they look upon all those British graves in the war cemeteries in their countries?

Are they going to support us? No, of course they are not.

So think carefully, we are Great Britain and we are family: English, Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish.

We have stand together through thick and thin and moreover we can do it again.

And as usual we can go it alone and be better for it.
